My theory is this: humans need salt, so they used these lines on the ground to evaporate salt water into salt. They poured the water into the animal drawings to give salt to the gods, but they also took some for themselves.

Machu Picchu

Finally! The trip up had amazing scenery, but it doesn't compare to the mountain view I have right now. This is the first time I have seen ruins this big from the Inca. I just got back from taking a tour, and I think i've seen it all except for what the Incas did here. In the tour, the tourguide showed us the mark from the beer comercial accident. What idiots! It makes me fell guilty because if Europeans weren't here, the Incas would have survived

My Trip To Latin America

Today I am starting my trip to Latin America for a month. My plan is to go from Tierra del Fuego to the the Pampas, Igqazu Falls, Rio de Janeiro, Atacama desert, Lake Titicaca, the Peruvian Andes, Lima, The Panama Canal, San Salvador, Cancun, then to Mexico city in that order. This is going to be fun!

Day 1
I flew in a plane from Madison to Houston, Houston to Panama City, Panama City to Buenos Aires, and finally, from Buenos Aires to Rio Gallegos, where I took a boat to Tierra del Fuego. The trip was extremely long and extremely boring, but the scenery is spectacular. I thought that the island would be a little warmer than it is, because it's nere the ocean. I now see that it is a tundra landscape with occasional pockets of plants.
